| Another successful reunion/ business meeting is in the books. We cleaned lots of Matteson and
Mattison headstones at family cemeteries in the Bennington, VT area,
saw re-enactments of the Battle of Bennington and had a great meal at a

We hold a Matteson Family Reunion for fun and Genealogy every summer in New York, Vermont, Rhode Island and other places. In attendence are also Mattison, Mathewson, Madison and Mathieson families, all common spelling variations. We meet with our Matteson cousins, visit historic sites and discuss Matteson ancestry back to Henry "The Immigrant" Matteson and beyond.
